Current Home: Brandon, MB With Konektis: 2021 - Present Vocal Part: Soprano 2 Formative experiences for Melissa as a choral musician took place when she sang in Provincial Honour Choirs, Central Manitoba Youth Choir, and Eastman Youth Choir. In 2010, Melissa completed her Bachelor of Music at Canadian Mennonite University with a focus on Senior Years Choral Education, majoring in vocal studies. She obtained her Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba in 2012. She taught K-12 music in rural Manitoba for five years before returning to Brandon University to complete her Master of Music Education Degree (2020), focusing on choral and elementary music education. Melissa currently teaches K-6 Music and Choir in Brandon School Division. Melissa lives in Brandon with her husband, Clint and their cat, Harley. In her spare time she enjoys baking, thrifting, and spending time with family. |
